The more realistic way to understand this method id to observe the number line before rounding off your numbers. Under this strategy, if the unit of the given number is smaller than five, then you will follow the “round down” rule. If the given number is greater than 5, then “round-up” will be applicable.
If the tens digit in the given number is lesser than 50 then you will apply the “round down” rule but if the tens digit is 50 or greatest then 50, round up will be applied.
